For the past five years, the Potjiekos Contest has been a beloved tradition at SaffaFest. This year, we're turning up the heat with the all-new SaffaFest Sizzle Outdoors Food Contest!
 

How It Works:

✅ Cook anything you like—meat, seafood, veggies, or even desserts—as long as the main ingredients are cooked over an open fire at your dedicated station.
✅ Impress the judges with taste, presentation, originality, and team spirit. Extra points for South African-themed dishes, décor, and vibes!
✅ Compete for epic prizes in four categories:
🏆 Best Dish Overall
🥈 Runner-Up
🎨 Most Original Dish
🎉 Best Team Spirit

What You Get:

👨‍🍳 Entry Fee: NT$1,100 per team (max 5 members) includes:
✔️ A dedicated cooking space with a built-in stone braai (BBQ) area, an adjacent table, and an umbrella.
✔️ 7kg of high-quality charcoal/wood to fuel your fire.

🔪 Your own grilling & cooking equipment, utensils, and accessories
🔥 Firelighters, spices, and all food ingredients
🎨 Any décor or presentation materials to wow the judges
